September and October Reading Update

Books, Reading

October Reading UpdateI dallied on starting my September reading update and then I got busy going to the film festival and writing reviews for that. I’m still trying to get caught up with my festival reviews and don’t want to fall even further behind with my reading updates, so I’m just going to post a quick update now to chart my progress and may do a detailed post later. I’m thinking I may just post updates as I finish reading things rather than trying for end of month posts.

I’m still on a great pace for reading 25 books for the year.

In September, I read two print books (Jane Smiley’s 13 Ways of Looking at the Novel and Thomas Pynchon’s Bleeding Edge) and two shorter ebooks (Chuck Palahniuk’s Phoenix and Sarah Rose Etter’s Tongue Party).

In October, I read Jonathan Franzen’s Freedom.
